Welcome to the Gillingham Baptist Church website.

We are ordinary people living in Gillingham, Dorset and the surrounding villages who believe the Bible and have found the Lord Jesus Christ to be a wonderful Saviour and Friend who gives us peace and strength for daily living and hope for the life to come.

The Bible is our infallible guide. We believe the whole Bible to be the inspired Word of God so that our task is to understand it, preach it to all and live it out in our daily lives among our own generation.

We believe that we are all sinners in the sight of God our Maker and only through personal faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ can we be accepted by God and have our sins forgiven (John chapter 3 verse 16 & chapter 14 verse 6).
